A firefighter by day, Robyn Benincasa moonlights as one of the world’s premier adventure racers. Since 1994, Robin has raced all over the world, most recently winning the Cal-Eco Adventure Series Final and series title with Team EarthLink, winning the Expedition BVI 2001 (British Virgin Islands), placing forth with Team EarthLink in the 2001 Eco-Challenge New Zealand, and winning the Eco-Challenge 2000 in Borneo.

The epitome of "over-achiever" and "multi-sport athlete," Benincasa holds a Pac-10 Diving Championship gold medal from her college days, and a 1998 National Judo Championship (-78 kilo division), for which she cross-purpose trained for 3 years.
